Our team will greet you upon arrival and escort you to Trellis Bay Dock—just a two-minute drive away—where a private launch awaits to whisk you across the turquoise waters to your island retreat.

To ensure a smooth transfer, we kindly request your flight details in advance. For those arriving by air charter, Scrub Island also features a private heliport for an even more exclusive arrival.

Seamless Transfers

Begin your luxurious escape with a smooth, complimentary 10-minute ferry ride from Trellis Bay Dock on Tortola to Scrub Island Resort. This exclusive transfer offers a seamless and stylish start to your stay in the British Virgin Islands.
 

Ferry Schedule

  • From Trellis Bay: Departs hourly at :45 past the hour, beginning at 5:45 AM

  • From Scrub Island: Departs hourly at :30 past the hour, with the final departure at 10:30 PM
     

During regular operating hours, the ferry includes a brief stop at Marina Cay.

Traveling to the British Virgin Islands has never been easier, thanks to American Airlines’ new direct flights from Miami (MIA) to Tortola (EIS).

The most convenient international hub for reaching Scrub Island is San Juan, Puerto Rico (SJU). From there, it’s just a short connecting flight to Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport (EIS) on Tortola in the British Virgin Islands.

Travel options from San Juan to Tortola include:

  • Tradewind Aviation – offering private and scheduled luxury flights.

  • Cape Air – multiple daily departures, bookable through JetBlue, Delta, United, and American Airlines.

  • interCaribbean Airways – operating a 30-seat aircraft from Antigua, with a codeshare partnership with British Airways.

Upon arrival at Tortola (EIS), a Scrub Island representative will greet you, assist with your luggage, and escort you to Trellis Bay Dock, just minutes away. There, you’ll board our private ferry for the final leg of your journey—a scenic ride to Scrub Island and the start of your island escape.

Experience unmatched convenience with the Road Town Fast Ferry, offering a direct route from downtown Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, to the vibrant capital of Road Town, Tortola. Unlike other ferries that arrive at West End—requiring a 15-minute, $15 cab ride to reach the island’s center—this service delivers you straight into the action, saving both time and money.

Heading back to St. Thomas? The Road Town Fast Ferry bypasses the usual detour to St. John, which lacks a customs office and often adds up to 45 minutes to your trip. Instead, enjoy a swift journey directly into Charlotte Amalie, where U.S. Customs is located right at the dock, making re-entry as smooth as your departure.
